SÉNÉGAL : OUSMANE SONKO CONDAMNÉ À DEUX ANS DE PRISON FERME POUR « CORRUPTION DE LA JEUNESSE »
Le verdict est tombé ce jeudi 1er juin 2023 par contumace, prononcé par la chambre criminelle du Tribunal de Dakar .

Ousmane Sonko écope de deux ans de condamnation ferme pour « corruption de la jeunesse », et 600 000 F CFA d’amende. Par contre, le principal challenger et très populaire opposant à Macky Sall a été acquitté des accusations de viols sur la masseuse Adji Sarr et menace de mort, mais voit sa candidature fortement compromise pour la présidentielle de 2024, au terme d’un procès politico-judiciaire qui a mobilisé la rue depuis 2021.
Le parquet avait requis dix ans de réclusion criminelle pour « viols » ou 5 ans de prison pour « corruption de la jeunesse » lors du procès également tenu en l’absence d’Ousmane Sonko le 23 mai dernier.
C’est à n’en point douter le début d’un autre feuilleton politique qui risque de s’ouvrir avec la condamnation du leader du parti Pastef. En effet, depuis le début de son procès, ses partisans et lui-même dénoncent une manœuvre du régime en place pour l’écarter de la course à la présidentielle de 2024, au moment où la rue, massivement acquise à Ousmane Sonko, ne cesse de gronder contre un éventuel projet de troisième mandat du président Macky Sall.
