Ligue des champions : André Onana et l’Inter dominent le Milan AC en présence de Samuel Eto’o
Les Intéristes se sont imposés dans la soirée du 10 mai dernier par 2-0 face aux Milanais en demi-finale aller de la ligue des champions, dans une affiche qui avait tout d’un derby du championnat italien au stade San Siro de Milan grâce aux buts d’Edin Dzeko et Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Les visiteurs ont été sans pitié pour leurs adversaires qui ont très peu existé dans la rencontre, malgré un duel des gardiens entre le Camerounais André Onana et le Français Mike Maignan, sous le regard de Samuel Eto’o, le président de la Fédération camerounaise de football (Fecafoot). Joueur historique de l’Inter de Milan, club avec lequel il a réussi un triplé (ligue des champions-coupe-championnat) en 2010, l’ancien buteur des Lions Indomptables était invité pour ce match, tout comme de nombreuses autres légendes des deux équipes. Visiblement satisfait des performances de son poulain dans les buts, Samuel Eto’o dira toute son admiration à la fin du match. «C’est mon fils, il a grandi dans mon académie […] c’était un bon garçon. J’ai tellement d’émotions quand je me souviens de ses débuts. Il est aussi bon avec ses pieds comme Julio Cesar», déclare le président de la Fecafoot qui s’est brouillée avec André Onana, après la coupe du monde au Qatar, au point de pousser le gardien de 27 ans à prendre sa retraite internationale. Va-t-il revenir en sélection après ces mots doux de Samuel Eto’o ? L’avenir le dira.
