LES ENJEUX DE LA 44ÈME SESSION DE LA CONFÉRENCE MINISTÉRIELLE DE LA FRANCOPHONIE AU CAMEROUN
L’événement qui se tiendra du 4 au 5 novembre 2023, se veut comme un cadre de réflexion sur la gouvernance au sein de l’espace francophone, en raison des événements politiques et sécuritaires qui impactent sur le destin des populations.

Le Cameroun organise en novembre prochain, la 44ème session de la Conférence ministérielle de la Francophonie (CMF), suivant la résolution prise lors du 18e sommet de l’Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), tenu en novembre 2022.
«Cette Conférence ministérielle va permettre au Cameroun de démontrer sa capacité à se hisser au niveau des standards internationaux en matière d’accueil d’évènements majeurs de politique internationale», peut-on lire dans un communiqué du ministère des Relations extérieures (Minrex).
Au cours des travaux de novembre, apprend-on, les 88 États et gouvernements membres de l’OIF vont adopter la nouvelle programmation 2024-2027 de l’organisation ainsi que le budget quadriennal. Selon le Minrex, cet évènement va également «permettre de mener la réflexion sur la gouvernance au sein de l’espace francophone au regard des récents évènements politiques et sécuritaires impactant le destin des populations». Pour terminer, il sera question de préparer le 19e sommet de la Francophonie annoncé en 2024 à Paris, France.
Par ailleurs, l’on apprend que la CMF qui se tient à Yaoundé est l’occasion pour le Cameroun de rassurer ses partenaires de l’espace francophone sur sa capacité à préserver sa stabilité globale, sa résilience et son ouverture démocratique.
À date, le Cameroun n’a fait qu’une partie du chemin en passant le test de l’inspection. Le 11 septembre dernier en effet, une délégation de l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) conduite par la diplomate canadienne Caroline St-Hilaire, qui officie comme administratrice par la secrétaire générale de la Francophonie, Louise Mushikiwabo, a visité le site du palais des Congrès de la capitale camerounaise, qui va accueillir cette cérémonie.
